NJ Devils

Last year the New Jersey Devils did not make it even to the playoffs and this year they will play in the Stanley Cup Final. I went to a game last year when they did not very well and I am kind of surprised how far they did come this year. Couldn't they played that great last year when I actually lived in New Jersey ;) But of course, I am still a Devils fan and will cheer for them in the final. It is probably going to be a great final. I can't wait for it to start but unfortunately I won't be able to watch it because of the time change. Well, I will see.

AFS is love, AFS brotherhood...

Three days full with AFS spirit and work. For another great AFS weekend we went to the Constance in Cologne. Constance is the largest AFS Volunteer Camp in Germany for workshops of all kind of intercultural topics. I had three great and informative workshops. I had a workshop about China and it's way of living and then a workshops about non formal education and the last one was about experimental learning. I learned so much new stuff in so less time. The really enjoyed the workshops. Beside the workshops we hanged out with the other AFSer and enjoyed our time. We talked with all the other AFSer which is always fun to meet so many new AFSer from all over Germany. It was just another great and amazing AFS weekend which was way to short again. I am always surprised how fast an AFS weekend is passing by...

football

Today I went to a football game in Stuttgart. But the game was not that great. It was not that fun to watch because the teams did not play very well. It is hard to compare with American Football which I am used to. Well, the teams tried their best but they just did not have the skills for a great football match. The defense were awful and there were not really great rallies. And even the cheerleader were just enjoying after a while. I probably have to wait for the american football season to start to watch some great football again. So if you are used to American Football do not watch the German style American football. It is not worth it ;)

Thank you for a great season

The First German Soccer league is over now. And Bayern Munich did not win it again ;) Congratulations to Dortmund for winning it the second year in a row. As a VfB Stuttgart fan the season was like a roller coaster ride. You never knew what will happen next. In the first half of the season VfB did not play well but in the second half the played really great  and had a great finish. Next season VfB will play in the Europe League again. What a great season and in the end VfB finished in 6th place.

Swiss

The last five days we had a little rehearsal weekend in Swiss. WIth the choir from my old school we spent a few day in Swiss for practicing the songs. We were singing quite a lot every day. We had rehearsal in the morning and in the afternoon. Besides singing we also enjoyed the nice landscape there. We went for a walk through the snow there, played some football or just enjoyed the warm and sunny weather. On Sunday we participated in a church service and on Monday we had a little concert. It went pretty well and we archived a lot in so little time. All in all it was a fun time but also really exhausting.
