FDP

I just found this very amusing video. The video is about the FDP, a liberal party which doesn't have much support right now. Although they are part of the German Federal Government only about 3% are willing to vote for that party. Well, I don't like that party either.
But therefore a new party which calls themselves "Piraten" (english: "pirates") is very popular right now. The party doesn't exist that long but gets more and more support from voters. Most of them just vote them because of their disappointment with the other parties. The party does not have real program, they are still discussing about their position towards different aspects of the politics. So nobody really knows what they are standing for but still people are voting for them. We'll see how long that will last and wether or not the FDP will get their former voters back.

Wait...what ;) it's been over six months now since I left the U.S. I am always amazed how times goes by so quickly and you don't even realize it that much. But the good point about that, my sister is coming soon  and I cannot wait for that to happen. She spent the last six months in Australia and now it's almost time to come home. Now she is just traveling throughout Australia. But soon she will back home. Yeah, finally a good thing time passes that fast ;)

Spring is coming

It's getting warmer again. And it seems like Spring is coming. The last few days it has been really sunny and warm and I already got my first little sun burn ;) but I rather have a sun burn than sitting in the cold and freezing. I prefer the warm weather and I really enjoy the sunny weather now. Especially after my first semester is over and I have time to enjoy the weather and don't have to spend my time sitting in the room and studying for my exams...

Semester is over

Finally, the first semester is over. I wrote my last exam for the semester and now I can "relax" a little bit before the second one starts in about two weeks. The last few weeks I've been studying quite a lot and pretty much every day. There wasn't really a day off. But at least it's over now and hopefully I will pass all the exams because I've been working really hard ;) Well, we'll see if it pays off...

Jets

Another weird trade by the Jets. In my opinion I am not quite sure if Tebow is such an improvement for the team. With Sanchez the Jets already have a good quarterback who has earned his respect the last few season and has show how good he is. But we'll see, maybe I am wrong and Tebow can help the team. Because one thing is for sure, this year the Jets have to make it to the playoffs at least. And hopefully it's gonna be a better season that last one.

American TV series

How I missed the American TV series. The last few days I caught with the the series again and started watching all the episodes I missed so far. Those three series, "how I met your mother", "the big bang theory" and "two and a half men" are just amazing. I can't get enough of them and I never get bored watching them. But now I have to wait for next weekend for the new episodes to come out...

New Federal President

This weekend Germany got a new Federal President. The new one, Joachim Gauck was elected this weekend. The old one, Wulff, resigned a few weeks ago because of his "affaires". This is already the third President within a few years. Already the last president resigned and Wulff has been presidents for not even two years. Hopefully, the new one will do a better job.
