Pro Bowl

One more week until Super Bowl! Can't wait for it. This weekend there was the Pro Bowl which is not that fun because they do not really tackle each other. Usually it is just a high scoring game without any defense ;)

Epic Final

Wow, what an epic Australian Open final. It was the best tennis I have seen for a long time. Unbelievable. The match was not boring at any time although it lasted for over five hours. But Nadal and Djokovic played their best tennis throughout the game and had some great rallies. Great tennis! Nothing more to say because you cannot really describe it with words ;) it is like tennis from a different world.

Couldn't agree more

Unfortunately the exams are still ahead of me so I still have to live in my little "cave" surrounded by numbers for the next eight weeks ;) well, that's studying...

Sports

Wow, there are so many sport events going on right now and I barely have time to watch them because I am studying all day long ;) or at least I am trying too. At least I got the chance to watch some handball this week but the german team did not do well in the european handball championship. And then german soccer started again. Last week the second half of the season started after the winter break again but my team did not do well either. And then there is also tennis but I did not have time to watch the Australian Open. Don't have enough time ;( and of course, there is also football. I can't wait for the Super Bowl next week. It is going to be great although my teams are already out ;)

Super Bowl

It did not go well for the 49ers last night. Unfortunately the 49ers did not make it to the Super Bowl Championship. They lost 20 - 17 against the Giants ;( the Giants will play agains New England Patriots now who also won their playoff game. Well, it could not have come any more worse. As a Jets fan I can root for either team because the Jets are the only true team of New York City and not the Giants. And the Patriots are in the same division as the Jets, so even worse because of them the Jets did not make it to the playoffs. It is like cheering for Stuttgart Kickers or Bayern Munich. Unbelievable to cheer for one of them. But well I have to deal with it and now I will cheer for the Giants because of their home town, New York City. Let's go Giants and go home Pats!!

Go 49ers

Let's go 49ers. Beat the Giants tonight! As a Jet (and 49ers) fan I cannot stand the Giants because the Jets are the only true football team of New York City ;) it is like cheering for Munich as a VfB Stuttgart Fan. Unimaginable.

Midstay Camp

This weekend there was the Midstay Camp from the exchange students. Unfortunately I could not participate in that camp because I have to study a lot right now ;) But at least I had some time to visit the camp on Saturday evening. It was fun to see all the exchange students again whom I have seen and met on their first camp, the Late Orientation Camp. It was nice talking to them and I am glad I have visited them. Late at night I drove back home, so it was only a short but good visit.

International Sweatpants Day

well said ;)

We probably have a day for everything now when we even have an international sweatpants day already ;) Here in Germany it is not that common to wear sweatpants regular but in the U.S. many people wear them. It is way more comfortable than wearing jeans ;)

Soccer is back

Yeah, finally, the soccer winter break is over and the first german soccer league starts today again. Hopefully the VFB will do better the second half of the season because they did not play very well the first half. As a fan I could not cheer that much because of their performance ;) Well, maybe they do better the next few weeks. Mostly I followed American football instead of soccer because it is way more fun to watch.

As you see I have not written much the last few weeks. Sorry for that but I just was too busy to keep updating my blog. But I still try to let you know what is happening around me. I hope I can keep updating my blog weekly. We'll see. I am happy about every suggestion or comment to my blog ;)

Super Bowl playoffs games

Well, the Jets did not even make it to the playoffs. Pretty depressive because I was cheering for them. Luckily, San Francisco 49ers are doing really well this year. Could not believe it first that they had such a great season and hopefully a great post season as well. We will see but I will definitely cheer for them. Go 49ers!!

Simulation Technology

Well, the first few months of university are already are over and it seems like I already study for years comparing how much I already have learned in that short time ;) And every week I have to do all kinds of assignments for which I need lots of time, because they are not as easy as they used to be in school ;) but that is university.. right now I still have to study a lot, even more than usual, which seems to be impossible, because in a few weeks I have my first exam. Let's see how it will turn out ;)

Munich

A380

Okey,  because a good friend is working and living in Munich we decided to visit him there because he is only living there for a couple few more weeks. He is working in the Lufthansa technician hall where the planes are maintained and controlled. And because of that we got a private tour through the hall, pretty cool ;). Our friend showed us around the hall and explained everything. There was also a private plane from a Russian billionaire. And we also learned that the prince from Thailand is taking private flight lessons. Well, back to the tour. We even went on a plane which was "parked" in the hall ;) We visited all parts of the plane, even the sleeping room for the stewards and the cockpit. It was amazing to sit in the cockpit chairs ;) All in all it was great and interesting tour through the hall.
Before we went back to downtown Munich we stopped at the airport observation deck to see the start of the world largest airplane, the Airbus A380. It was a great view. Back in Munich we just walked through downtown and stopped at the Hard Rock Cafe for a while. In the evening we went to another bar nearby.
On Sunday we planned to have a "White Sausage" (typical bavarian sausage) breakfast, but unfortunately they were out. So we just had a "normal" breakfast. After a great weekend in Munich which was way too short, we drove home.

Happy new year

Happy new year everyone. New Year I celebrated with a few friends. First we had some Turkish food to eat which was really delicious. Afterwards we played trivial pursuit which was really fun. Close to midnight we went out on a field to watch the fireworks from there. It was a great view. Although it was a little bit cloudy we saw a lot.  Before we went to bed we finished our ongoing game ;)
