Halloween

Happy Halloween! Here in the U.S. Halloween is pretty popular. Many houses are decorated with scary Halloween stuff like spider nets, Frankenstein puppets, grave stones and lots more. And almost every kid dresses up and go trick-or-treating to get as many candies as possible. I decided to go trick-or-treating with Alan (another au pair) and some younger kids. I also dressed up. I wore a scary mask, a stick and a cloak. I looked pretty creepy :D but I had a fun time and got lots of candies.

Another day in New York

This Sunday we decided to go to New York again and have picnic at Central Park. But because we arrived pretty late in New York and the weather was not that nice we decided to eat our stuff near the train station. We found a nice place to sit where we had our "picnic". Afterwards we hang around at Times Square.

Driver license test

Today I went to the motor vehicle center to apply for my driver license. When I got there, I had to wait for half an hour until they checked my six point of ID. After that I had to wait another half an hour until it was my turne again. So again, they checked my ID and took a picture from me for my driver license. After that I had to take the written driver license test. Because I already have an exsistsing German driver license I only have to pass the written test. The written test contains of 50 question and you have to get 40 question right in order to pass the test. Some question were really hard and I was not sure with some question but in the end I passed the test. After passing the test I had to wait another 30 minutes until they checked my ID again and send me to the next waiting line. After waiting additional 30 minutes I got my driver license finally. I needed over three and a half hour to get my driver license and most of the time I just waited...
