San Francisco

If you are planning a trip to America, make sure you stop at San Francisco. One of my favorite city in the US and I enjoyed the city every time I visited it. Starting with the Golden Gate Bride, where I drove over with the bike. It was a windy ride but it was a nice one and I would do it definitely again. The Golden Gate Bride looks amazing and especially when the fog is gone, it is just a great and amazing picture. But San Francisco is more than just the Golden Gate Bridge or the old prison Alcatraz. A walk at the harbor can be really nice especially if is not windy and fogy. You have a great view on the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz but also can enjoy the beautiful walk along the river. From the harbor walking downtown you should stop at China Town which is a really interesting place as well. San Francisco has some really great and old districts and a walk through the quite neighborhood may forget the busy everyday life. If you visit San Francisco, you need to stay there at least day. I have been there a few times and every time I had such a great time and found another great place to visit.

Who you are cheering for tomorrow? Bayer Munich or Dortmund?

Tomorrow is the day: Champions League finale between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Whole Europe cannot wait for the game to get started, at least all the soccer fans are super excited for the game. Well, maybe not Spain as much as the years before, because this will the first german-german champions league finale. No Real Madrid, no Barcelona or nor Chelsea but two german soccer clubs. Nobody would have believed that a few months ago. Everyone was expecting Madrid or Barcelona to be in the final, but not Dortmund which was a surprise to most of the viewers. Sure they played really great soccer and beat Real Madrid two times but nobody believed really in them, especially after their almost lost in the quarter finale. It seems that the German Bundesliga is catching up with the other league and has improved a lot. I hope that the german soccer teams will play such a great season next year too and that this is not the end of the german Bundesliga in europe.
But for tomorrow I just wish a great soccer game with a happy ending for Borussia Dortmund ;)

Intercultural learning

Everyone is talking about intercultural learning and how important it is for society today. Due to globalization cultural exchange is increasing from day to day. Living in a different culture or dealing with people from other nations you need to know how to behave and how to act. People have a different background and share different values and you need to respect and tolerate them. Intercultural learning is the understanding of the behavior of people from different culture. It starts with little things like gesture or hand shakes but for you it can seen normal whereas for other it is just new to them. Hand shaking or hugging? Depending on the nation and people you are speaking to you need to pay attention. Colors, orders, clothes and many others things are just aspects of a culture and always needed to remember for intercultural learning. The best way for intercultural learning is spending some time abroad. The better you know a culture the more you can avoid conflicts and problems.

49ers NFC championship

What an epic championship game with a better ending for the San Francisco 49ers. An excicting game to the very last second.
The Atlanta Falcons had a great start into the game and were up 17-0 quickly. Whereas the 49ers offense wasn't affective at all. It seemed like that the Falcons had choosen the better strategy and tactic. But the 49ers didn't give up and had a great run to come back in this game. And the defense had an awesome second half where the Falcons couldn't score at all. in the end it was a great win for the 49ers and let's see how far they can go now.

make the world a better place than today

There is so much you can do to make the world a better place in 2013 than it was in 2012. Step by step you can change the world, it might be only little steps but that is just the beginning. You just need to start to take care for your surroundings, environment and community. Our society is often forgetting the positive sides of living and many do not realize that there is so much beauty in our world. Forget the money and business and start living. Alone we are one, but together we are many.
